At a reception celebrating the 50th reunion of the Class of 1975 at William & Mary Law School, alumnus Edward Blumberg was honored with a medallion and delivered a speech to his fellow alumni. The event also marked the 10th reunion for Iliana Blumberg.

In his address, Mr. Blumberg reflected on his legal education, emphasizing that its greatest gift was teaching him “what it means to be a lawyer.” He described the legal profession as the “highest calling in the secular world” and the “glue that holds this democracy together.” He concluded by defining a lawyer as the crucial figure who stands between a lone individual and the potential abuse of power from legislative, executive, judicial, and corporate entities. Mr. Blumberg also took a moment to thank his family for their continuous support.
